Introduction
With the rapid development of AI and digital economy, education on computing and software has been becoming an even excited area. With the popularity of the digital economy and the vigorous development of the software industry, enhanced software engineering education is even more needed in world wide. Through the Belt and Road initiative, China and the Europe will have a closer cooperation. Through more exchanges, China and the Europe can further strengthen cooperation in software industry, digital economy, IT industry and talent cultivation, to face today’s environment of new changes, new technology, new economy, and new features.
Since 2005, CEISEE(the China-Europe International Symposium on Software Engineering Education) has already held its nineteenth issues in China and Europe, and CEISEE has become one of the excellent platforms for the attendees from educational institutes, software industry and educational authorities across Europe and China to exchange their visions and wisdom, to share their experience, and to discuss their approaches for the industry-oriented software education.
The 20th China-Europe International Symposium on Software Engineering Education (CEISEE 2024) will be held in Belgrade, Serbia during October 2 to 3, 2024. The conference is co-organized by University of Belgrade, University of Novi Sad, BRI Institute Belgrade, Serbia, and Harbin Institute of Technology, China. We invite experts, educators, engineers, and managers in the field of software education, academia, and industry to contribute and participate in the conference.
The theme of the CEISEE 2024 is “AI Enabled Software Engineering Education in Digital Era”. Scope of the conference ranges from knowledge body and curriculum to the industry-university collaboration, to make the symposium more valuable and inspiring to the community of software engineering education and IT professional cultivation. This conference aims to explore the new approaches for software engineering education, including new software engineering related specialty programs and curriculum, cross-disciplinary education, cooperation between universities and industry, online education and e-learning, AI enabled education, metaverse education, digital transformation of education, innovative entrepreneurship practice, international cooperation on education, belt and road cooperation and connection, and other relevant topics.
